Clayton Christensen is regarded as one of the world’s foremost experts on innovation. His research has been applied to national economies, start-up and Fortune 50 companies. He is the best-selling, award-winning author of seven books, including his seminal work “The Innovator’s Dilemma” (1997) which is sold in more than 25 countries and was said to have “deeply influenced” Steve Jobs, as reported in Jobs’ biography by Walter Isaacson.
His book “The Innovator’s Prescription” (2009) examines how to fix our health care system with "disruptive" innovation. His newest book, “The Innovator’s DNA: Mastering the Five Skills of Disruptive Innovators” (2011), identifies the capabilities of the best innovators and explains how to master the skills.

Don Berwick, MD
Former Administrator, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; former President and CEO, Institute for Healthcare Improvement
Bio
Don Berwick is the United States’ leading advocate for high-quality healthcare. He recently stepped down as the Administrator of CMS, orignally appointed by President Obama. For 22 years prior, he was the founding CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a nonprofit dedicated to improving healthcare around the world. For his important role in helping redesign and improve Britain’s healthcare system, Dr. Berwick was named a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London and Honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire. A pediatrician by background, he has also served on the faculty of the Harvard Medical School.
His books include Curing Health Care and New Rules: Regulation, Markets and the Quality of American Health Care.

As a speaker and consultant, he has explored the future of healthcare with clients such as the World Health Organization, the Global Business Network, and the U.K. National Health Service, as well as numerous state hospitals, health care associations, pharmaceutical companies, and health plans.
Mr. Flower is the author of hundreds of healthcare articles and the recent book, “Healthcare Beyond Reform – Doing it Right for Half the Cost.” For over 20 years he was a contributing editor at the Healthcare Forum Journal (which became the Health Forum of the American Hospital Association). He’s a member of the AHA Health Forum’s speaking faculty, and serves on the board of the Center for Health Design.

Shelly Gehshan is a children’s advocate and health policy expert who has nearly 20 years of experience working for state policy makers on issues affecting low-income women, children, and families.
From 2005 to 2008, Ms. Gehshan served as a senior program director at the National Academy for State Health Policy in Washington, D.C., a nonpartisan organization of state health policy makers. She developed NASHP’s work on oral health and directed projects on health care reform, Medicaid, behavioral health, and juvenile justice.

Since Feb. 2008, Dr. Gesko has been with HealthPartners, a family of nonprofit, consumer-governed health care organizations in Minnesota, which provide health care services, insurance, and HMO coverage to nearly 660,000 members.
Prior to joining HealthPartners, Dr. Gesko was the Associate Dental Director for Permanente Dental Associates (PDA) / Kaiser Permanente in Portland, OR for 20 years. PDA employs 120 dentists and operates 17 dental offices.
Dr. Gesko attended Montana State University in Bozeman, MT prior to his dental education at the University of Minnesota. After receiving his DDS degree, he completed a residency in General Practice at the Veterans Association Medical Center in Portland, OR. Following that, he operated a private dental practice in Bozeman, MT.

Gregg H. Gilbert, DDS, MBA, FAAHD, FICD

Dr. Gilbert's oral health clinical research includes practice-based research, clinical epidemiology, and behavioral sciences research. He currently serves as National Network Director for The National Dental PBRN (Practice-Based Research Network) as a result of funding from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
Dr. Gilbert has served on numerous grant application review committees for the NIH, VA, and research foundations. In 2002, he received the Distinguished Scientist Award in Geriatric Oral Research from the International Association for Dental Research. In 2012, he was the recipient of the ADEA William J. Gies Award for outstanding vision in dental education, in recognition of his vision and efforts to bridge research, education, and practice.

Paul Glassman, DDS, MA, MBA

In addition to over 20 years at UOP, Dr. Glassman is a former president of the Special Care Dentistry Association, a national organization dedicated to improving oral health for people with special needs and older adults. He is also Director of the Pacific Center for Special Care and Director of the California Statewide Task Force on Oral Health for People with Disabilities and Aging Californians.
He has served on many national panels including the Board of Directors of the DentaQuest Institute, and the Institute of Medicine’s Committee on Oral Health Access to Services which produced the report on Improving Access to Oral Health Care for Vulnerable and Underserved Populations.
Dr. Glassman has had many years of dental practice experience treating patients with complex conditions, and has published and lectured extensively in the areas of Hospital Dentistry, Dentistry for Patients with Special Needs, Dentistry for Individuals with Medical Disabilities, Dentistry for Patients with Dental Fear, Geriatric Dentistry, and Oral Health Systems reform. He has also developed and acted as PI for many community-service programs designed to improve oral health for people with disabilities and other underserved populations.


James J. Koelbl, DDS, MS, MJ

Dr. Koelbl is now in his 13th year as a dental dean, having served as Dean, West Virginia University School of Dentistry; Founding Dean of the Western University Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, CA; and now Founding Dean of the University of New England College of Dental Medicine. In addition to 20 years in private practice, he has held positions in dental education at six dental schools, served as Associate Executive Director at the ADA, and is a founding member of the American Dental Education Association/American Association of Dental Research National Oral Health Advocacy Committee.
Dr. Koelbl has received numerous awards and has written multiple publications and articles. He received his DDS from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, his M.J. in Health Law from the Loyola University School of Law, and an Masters in Oral Biology from Loyola University.

Krista Postai, a founder of the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, now serves as its CEO. Prior to joining CHC/SEK, a federally qualified health center, she was Vice-President of Planning and Development at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center. During her 23 years with the medical center, she was instrumental in the development of mission-directed services including non-emergency transportation and a volunteer dental clinic. Currently she oversees a "safety net" dental clinic, which serves an estimated 9,500 patient visits.
Ms. Postai is a board member for KAMU and the Kansas Family Partnership. She is a founder and vice-chairman of the board of Cornerstone Village, a non-profit long-term care facility. In 2001, she was named "Friend of the Family" by the Kansas Assoc. of Family and Consumer Sciences, and in 2006 was honored with the "Friend of Pittsburg Community Schools" award.
