Michael Roizen, MD
Founder of RealAge, Inc. & Chairman of the RealAge Scientific Advisory Board; Chief Wellness Officer and Chair of the Wellness Institute at the Cleveland Clinic
As head of the Wellness Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Roizen promotes his innovative program aimed at helping people reverse biological aging and live longer, more vibrant lives. He founded the Scientific Advisory Board of RealAge, Inc., a company that promotes health education and services through its website www.RealAge.com. His RealAge and YOU: The Owner's Manual books have been #1 on the New York Times Best Seller List, he is a frequent TV guest, and hosts a radio show heard on over 30 stations. Erik D. Olsen, DDS
President, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP); former President of AARP Arizona; former President and CEO of Delta Dental Plan of California
As President of the national AARP and its Arizona chapter, Dr. Olsen has been dedicated to making health care a #1 priority for the AARP’s nearly 40 million members of people 50 and over. He's served on numerous strategic committees including the AARP Insurance Trust Committee and AARP Health and Long-Term Care and Future Directions Advisory Committees.
Prior to his activities with the AARP, Dr. Olsen served as president and CEO of Delta Dental Plan of California, and earlier was executive director and managing editor of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Olsen has received numerous awards including induction into the Hall of Fame of Delta Dental Association, and was the first recipient of the Hillenbrand Fellowship in Dental Administration.

Douglas Berkey, DMD, MPH, MS
Professor, Univ. of Colorado Denver School of Dental Medicine; Dental Director, Total Longterm Care of Colorado; Past Chair of the Gerontology and Geriatrics Education Section, American Dental Education Association
One of the leading geriatric dentists in the nation, Dr. Berkey is an internationally renowned dental academic and leader in teaching, research, and patient care related to geriatric and special care dentistry. As a Professor at the Denver School of Dental Medicine, he serves as chair of the department of applied dentistry and director of the Advanced General Education in Dentistry program.
Dr. Berkey has also maintained a part-time clinical practice in geriatric dentistry, staying closely connected with patient needs. He's authored over 40 publications, eight book chapters, and is a frequently invited guest lecturer. His many prestigious awards include the U.S. Public Health Service Scholarship, a Pew National Dental Leadership award, a Fulbright Scholar finalist award, and the ADA’s Geriatric Health Care Award.

Michael J. Helgeson, DDS
Co-Founder and CEO of Apple Tree Dental, Minnesota; Past President, Special Care Dentistry Assn; Immediate Past President, American Society for Geriatric Dentistry; Clinical Assistant Professor, Univ. of Minnesota, School of Dentistry
Apple Tree Dental, a non-profit organization founded in 1985, helps bring dental care services to underserved populations including those who can’t pay, as well as the sick, disabled, and elderly. Apple Tree has now treated over 60,000 people, including about 30,000 nursing facility and assisted living residents.
Dr. Helgeson also collaborates nationally on projects to improve dental care delivery and policies, and is a widely recognized guest lecturer on innovations in eldercare and special care dentistry. As a U.S. Public Health Service dentist, he helped establish the Water Tower Clinic for special needs patients, and in 2005 received the U.S. Public Health Service 15 Year Outstanding Service Award.

Ronald Inge, DDS
Executive Director and Co-Founder, Institute of Oral Health; Vice President, Professional Services and Dental Director for Washington Dental Service
A nationally respected leader in the dental profession and the dental benefits industry, Dr. Inge co- founded the Institute for Oral Health and leads its initiatives to advance innovations in dental care delivery, access, and policies.
As a Vice President and Dental Director for Washington Dental Service, Dr. Inge promotes positive changes in network development, provider relations and clinical policies. He provided similar strategic leadership as chief dental officer at Aetna, associate executive director of the ADA, and chief dental officer at PMI. Motivated by his earlier years as a practicing dentist, Dr. Inge has dedicated his career to improving oral health care for all Americans.
Judith A. Jones, DDS, MPH
Professor and Chair, Dept of General Dentistry, Boston University School of Dental Medicine and Associate Professor of Health Services in the School of Public Health; Executive Council, American Association of Public Health Dentistry
At Boston University, Dr. Jones leads strategic planning and development for the academic, preclinical and clinical courses of the dental medicine degree program. Over the past 20 years, she has worked closely with students and colleagues on patient-oriented research, making significant contributions to knowledge about long-term oral health care and outcomes, and the relationship between oral and systemic diseases.
Dr. Jones completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Dentistry with the Dept of Veterans Affairs (Boston/Bedford) before becoming Director of the Geriatric Dental Program and later Chief of the Dental Service at the Boston/Bedford VA. In 2004, she organized The Elders Oral Health Summit to focus on disparities in access and care outcomes for seniors. In 2001, she was awarded the VA Career Development Award in Health Services Research.

Linda C. Niessen, DMD
Clinical Professor, Dept of Restorative Sciences, Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M Health Science Center; Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer, DENTSPLY International
At DENTSPLY International, Dr. Niessen oversees the Global Student Clinician Program, Professional Relations, and Clinical Education. She has served as President of the American Assn of Women Dentists, American Assn of Public Health Dentistry, and the Dallas County Dental Society. As a faculty member at Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Niessen lectures on aging and oral health, preventive dentistry for older adults, and providing
dental care for medically complex patients.
As a nationally recognized lecturer and author, Dr. Niessen wrote the textbook Geriatric Dentistry: Aging and Oral Health and hosts Dental Health Check, a weekly syndicated TV news report on dental health, the only show of its kind in the nation, which reaches more than 1 million people weekly. Dr. Niessen also received the ADA's Geriatric Dental Health Award with Dr. Judith Jones for their work on providing dental care to patients with Alzheimer's
disease.

Stephen K. Shuman, DDS, MS
Associate Professor & Director, Oral Health Services for Older Adults Program, Dept of Primary Dental Care and Director of Graduate Studies, MS-Dentistry Program, Univ. of Minnesota Graduate School and School of Dentistry
At the School of Dentistry, Dr. Shuman directs the Oral Health Services for Older Adults Program, as well as the school's nationally recognized continuing education program in long-term care dentistry. He also serves as Dental Director for the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation's Senior Dental Clinic (St. Paul) and the Walker Dental Clinic at Walker Methodist Health Center (Minneapolis), where he teaches geriatric dentistry and maintains his clinical practice.
Dr. Shuman's research has focused on dentistry in long-term care and geriatrics, ethical and legal issues in care for special needs patients, and medical issues affecting dental care of older adults. Additionally, for 10 years he served on the board of directors of the American Society for Geriatric Dentistry.

Jack Singer, PhD

Referred to as the "Patch Adams of Psychology," Dr. Singer has been recognized with Diplomates from the American Academy of Behavioral Medicine and the National Institute of Sports Psychology, and has taught in the Psychology departments of seven universities.
